India Squad for 12th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships 2026 Announced
The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) has officially announced the Indian squad for the 12th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships, scheduled to be held from 6 to 8 February 2026 in Tianjin, China.
The continental indoor championship will feature Asia’s top athletes competing in short-track sprint events, jumps, throws, hurdles, and combined events inside an indoor arena.
About the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships
The Asian Indoor Athletics Championships is a continental championship organised by the Asian Athletics Association. First held in 2004, the event is conducted periodically and features indoor-specific disciplines such as 60m sprint, 60m hurdles, shot put, high jump, long jump, triple jump, and combined events like heptathlon and pentathlon.
The 2026 edition marks the 12th staging of the championships, with China hosting the event in Tianjin.

Competition Schedule
The 12th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships will be conducted over three days, from 6 to 8 February 2026, with qualification rounds and finals scheduled across morning and evening sessions.
With representation across sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws, and combined events, the Indian contingent will compete against Asia’s best athletes at the 12th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Tianjin. The event will serve as an important continental indoor competition on the 2026 athletics calendar.
