Commonwealth Games 2026 Day 10: India Wins 15 Medals as Boxing Produces Seven Golds

India enjoyed its most successful medal day of the Commonwealth Games 2026 so far on Day 10, winning 15 medals — eight gold, four silver and three bronze.

Boxing dominated India's medal haul with seven gold medals, while athletics contributed one gold, two silver and one bronze. Judo added another bronze through Unnati Sharma.

Seven boxing gold medals for India

India produced a remarkable performance in the boxing finals, winning seven gold medals.

Preeti started the gold-medal rush with a 5-0 victory over Scarlett Savannah Delgado of Canada in the Women's 54kg final.

Jaismine followed with another 5-0 victory, defeating Michaela Walsh of Northern Ireland in the Women's 57kg final.

Sakshi defeated Ruby White of England 5-0 to win the Women's 51kg title, while Priya secured the Women's 60kg gold with a 4-1 victory over Marie-Bathoul Al-Ahmadieh of Canada.

Arundhati Choudhary completed another dominant performance with a 5-0 win over Chantelle Reid of England in the Women's 70kg final.

In the men's competition, Sachin edged Tryagain Morning Ndevelo of Namibia 3-2 in the Men's 60kg final, while Ankush defeated Dimeji Shittu of England 4-1 to claim the Men's 80kg title.

Three boxing silver medals

India also secured three silver medals in boxing.

Jadumani Singh Mandengbam finished runner-up in the Men's 55kg category after losing 0-5 to Jye Dixon of Australia.

Lovlina Borgohain won silver in the Women's 75kg category after a 1-4 defeat to Emma-Sue Greentree of Australia.

Narender claimed silver in the Men's 90+kg category after losing 0-5 to Damar Thomas of England.

Athletics adds four medals

India collected four medals in athletics and para athletics.

Soman Rana won gold in the Men's Shot Put F57, producing a Season Best of 13.40m.

In the Men's Triple Jump, Praveen Chithravel won silver with 16.58m, while Selva Prabhu Thirumaran claimed bronze with 16.52m.

Gulveer Singh added another bronze in the Men's 5000m Final with 13:24.95.

India also had strong performances outside the medal positions. Priyanka finished fourth in the Women's 10,000m Race Walk with a Season Best of 45:53.93, while Dev Kumar Meena was fourth in the Men's Pole Vault after clearing 5.30m. Kuldeep Kumar finished sixth with 5.10m.

Unnati Sharma wins judo bronze

Unnati Sharma secured India's judo medal of the day in the Women's -63kg category.

After victories over Lamulela Magagula of Eswatini and Qona Christie of New Zealand, Sharma lost her semi-final to Saya Middleton of Australia.

She recovered in the bronze-medal contest, defeating Skye Knoester of South Africa by ippon to finish third. Harsh Tokas also reached the bronze-medal contest in the Men's -81kg category after winning his repechage, but lost to Keishin Ochi of Australia and finished outside the medals.

Bowls

India's men's pairs team lost to England in Section B, Round 5, after the match ended 1-1 and was decided on a tie-break.

Nayanmoni Saikia also lost her Women's Singles sectional match against Bridget Herselman of South Africa on a tie-break.
